Test Friday - Question on FirstCheck Confirmation Tests
Age: 25 Weight: 160 Height: 5′10" Multiple time a day smoker
I have a DOT pre-employment drug screen coming up on Friday. As of today I am 34 days clean and will be 36 by test age. I have been taking FirstCheck tests starting at time 27 and every two days from that point. In all of these at-home strips tests, the results regard come back positive. No line present at all, not even the phantom line. After sending the tests away for confirmation testing with FirstCheck, I have believed negative results by reason of the first two back at twenty-four hours 27 and 29. I am till now waiting on the others.
Does anyone have any experience or perception in the validity of the FirstCheck confirmation tests? I know it says in the instructions that they are tested with GC/MS at the 15ng level, but it seems odd to me that I would be failing these initial 50ng screens and then passing every one of the confirm testings
This past Monday, I did a dry run at a local medical facility called Concentra. I will get the results back tomorrow (Thursday) in order to confirm the negative results. For anyone in my position, I recommend this company. they do not insist upon a referral and only lade $42 for the test. Also, a nice dry run for subbers that insufficiency to ask a few questions without worrying relative to suspicious collectors.
I force of will post my results about I admit them, but after this experience and a similar one with my last job change, I am not totally confident in these at home test kits.
